What is chemotherapy?

How does chemotherapy works?
In simplest terms, chemotherapy works by destroying the fast growing (mostly cancerous) cells in our body with your use of some chemicals. But there are some other fast growing cell also in our body like red blood cells, white blood cells, hair cells. Chemotherapy can destroy them as well, so the process is carried with great precautions and with the help of other drugs.
